Editorial and data policy
How we write guides, present source records and review corrections without guessing missing facts.
Our purpose
We help readers find recorded branch details and understand the identifiers shown with them. Our guides use plain English and explain unfamiliar terms. We aim to be useful without suggesting that a directory entry proves more than it does.
Keeping sources separate
The BSR record is the main entry. IFSC and postal details come from separate references. We name these sources and keep their details separate so you can see what each one says.
Missing details and differences
We leave missing information unfilled. We do not invent branch names, addresses, coordinates or pension links. If sources give different addresses or states, we show the difference rather than choosing a value without evidence.
Writing and financial information
We write our explanations for everyday readers. The guides provide general information, not banking, tax or legal advice. We do not claim that a code is active or suitable for a payment simply because it appears in a reference file.
Corrections and updates
We review reported errors against relevant source material. A correction needs evidence that supports the change. A new download date alone does not prove that every record has been updated.
Advertising and independence
An advertisement does not decide what a record or guide says. It is not a recommendation from BSRCode.in. Advertising, if introduced, is kept separate from directory information.
